Taste and See

Let's just say that the Lord is sweet.  The wonderful Rachel Nicole has been working on this blog for me so I haven't been posting.  Not that I have any readers anyway! But still.  In the past month plus, a lot has changed.  After some time decompressing from the crazy decision to not return to teaching and a lot of prayers and tears, I was able to figure out some of the issues with my current teaching position.  None of them were related to the children and I was missing it so very badly.  Finally, I got the tingling feeling inside of me to go ahead and  apply for the kindergarten position at the private school at my church.  One of my good friends had been bugging me for two years to apply.  She taught there and was moving away as her husband is in residency.  Well, lo and behold, I had a job at a private school within a week.  It was crazy, and exciting, and terrifying.  Now my anal, OCD self has a whole new classroom theme brewing in my mind.  Let's just say it's the third one in three years and it's going to be "sweet".  I might have  a small obsession with desserts, cupcakes, candy, and sprinkles.

Bad Breakup

This week feels like a bad breakup with a boyfriend you loved so much but in your heart you knew he was not "the one".  And one day you finally decided to rip the bandaid off and break up for good.  Deep down inside you know it's right but it hurts like hell.  That's my week except I broke up with teaching.

Everything is a count down and a thought of "Is this the last time...?"  Am I second guessing myself.  Yes.  Am I second guessing God? No.  This is right.  This is right.  This is right.  Over and over again I'm repeating it to myself.  But it's hard to imagine what's in store next that will bring me as many blessings as teaching did.  I spent the past 24 years of my life preparing to be a teacher.  I knew I was going to be one since I was five.  I really don't remember not wanting to be a teacher.  Until recently.  So I'm taking action and preparing myself for something new.  Whether or not it's what God has in mind for me, I'm sure I'll find out soon.

Tis So Sweet To Be Kind got to work this weekend.  I've been itching to make some cake pops so I slaved over whipped them up this weekend.  I'm pretty pleased with how they look but thankful that cake pop making may not be calling.  I might do better at greeting someone at the counter and handing them a cake pop with all the joy in the world.  One can dream.
